The Crazy World of Cyber Security With Numerous Cyber Attacks

Have you read about the latest activity of WikiLeaks about CIA docs? If not, then let me give you a brief version. As per the news, “WikiLeaks on Tuesday dumped thousands of classified documents onto the Internet, exposing hacking programs used by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.” “This first installment includes 8,761 documents and files stolen from an isolated high-security network within the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Virginia.”

This shows that the CIA network is also not strong enough to protect its data from the cyber-attacks. The reason of this hacking doesn’t matter, the thing which matter is, how can we stop these cyber-attacks. This news is not the only one which is floating in the market. There are many such cases which have raised the question that where is the implementation of cyber security.

As per CNBC, “Hundreds of Twitter accounts from media outlets to celebrities including pop star Justin Bieber, were hacked Wednesday, branded with the Turkish flag and messages being sent out in Turkish.” “Tweets showed that a large number of Twitter accounts were hacked with the same message being posted. This included Forbes, World Meteorological Organization, bitcoin wallet Blockchain, Germany soccer club Borussia Dortmund, Justin Bieber's Japanese account, and the U.K. Department of Health.”

Do these hacks mean that no information on the internet is safe? No this means we need more professionals who are competent in controlling these cyber attacks. Many companies with big names are working hard to train professionals who can create a defensive wall against these attacks and can help the companies to save their data from any more breach.

As per current U.S. President Donald Trump, “Cyber theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States by far". CSO report says that “Cybercrime damage costs to hit $6 trillion annually by 2021.” And the trail is already started if we look onto the recent occurrences of the attacks.
Companies like EC-Council, Cisco, and many other ones are trying hard to bring a better framework on the table which will not only eliminate the residuals of these attacks but will also prevent them from happening again in the future.

These training structures require a regular updating in the skills as the technology is changing so as the methods of cyber crime. Even if you are a certified cyber security expert but has gained the certification almost 5 years back then it will be better that you go through it once again, as it will guide you about the latest techniques of fighting with the crimes.

The need of cyber security and trained professionals in the same is increasing because they are the ones who can safeguard the information as well as data which is private and needs to stay that way.
“A Twitter spokesperson said it was aware of "an issue" affecting a number of users and pointed to a page on its website giving advice on how to stay safe.” Even twitter is taking initiatives to safeguard its account from getting hacked now it’s your turn to do the same.

At NetCom learning, we offer numerous courses related to cybersecurity offered by the CompTIA, EC-Council and many more companies. Get training from the industry experts in the best format possible. Some of the certifications are CISSP, CEH & CNDA, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+), etc.
