Configuring the Learning Path feature in Dynamics 365 CRM | Tips and Tricks for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
Introduction
The ongoing activity of Dynamics 365 aims to
improve the user experience. Everyone wants to provide their customers with
rich context, videos, walkthroughs, and articles, among other things.
"Learning path" is a mechanism in D365
that will assist us in increasing user engagement with D365. By giving them
guided instructions/hints on exploring the application and being productive
while learning it.
By enabling this functionality in D365, you may
develop your learning path material for your users, making their exploration of
your business more informative. Additionally, this feature gives contextual
assistance that forces a user to follow a specified process.
In this blog, we'll go over how to configure the
"Learning Path." Let's take a look at the following prerequisites
before configuring the "Learning Path" tool:
The system setting "Learning Path
Authoring" must be activated as a prerequisite.
We can't utilize the "Customizable
assistance" and "Learning Path" features simultaneously in the
same organization. Thus, only one can use at a time.
Users who want to use "Learning Path"
must "Opt-In" for the feature in their user choices.
To access the "Learning Path" content
library, the user must have the "System Administrator" or
"System Customizer" position.
The "Office 365 Learning Path and Authors
Security Group" must be a member of the user who wants to alter the
"Learning Path."
Configuration Steps
1. Navigate to Settings-> Administration in
your System Settings. Click System Settings on the Administration page. Change
No to Yes for 'Enable Learning Path' and 'Enable Learning Path Authoring.' As
seen in the diagram below:
In Dynamics 365 CRM 2, you may configure the Learning Path functionality. Now, under User Settings, select Opt-In for learning path; these options are as default. If a user opts in, it signifies they want to use the learning path throughout the system.
Note: As shown in the "Opt-Out for Learning
Path" option below, users can opt out and stop using the learning path
capability at any time. If a user opts out, they will no longer receive hints
or movies from the system. As the user has learned sufficient knowledge of the system,
no additional guidance is required.
In Dynamics 365 CRM 3, you may configure the
Learning Path functionality. Now, try to open the Content Library from the
Training area; you will be unable to do so since you have not yet added
yourself to the "Office 365 Learning Path Authors Security Group."

our valued users on how to use even the most highly customized system on the
tablet and web application. Using easy tips and videos, users gain a
comprehensive understanding of "how to use the program" without
relying on anybody. In the end, it aids in the reduction of training time and
expenditures in any firm.
